The Embassy of Germany in Colombia has the mission of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries by promoting political dialogue, economic, cultural, and scientific cooperation, as well as social exchange between Germany and Colombia. It also protects the interests of German citizens in Colombian territory and promotes initiatives that support sustainable development, the protection of human rights, and peacebuilding. Its vision is to establish itself as a strong bridge of mutual understanding, contributing to a strategic partnership based on respect, trust, and shared democratic values that supports the well-being and development of both nations.
The overall concept of this project is COHESION, understood as the harmonious integration of spaces, materials, and functions. Architecturally, this translates into a fluid connection between physical and symbolic elements, creating a coherent whole that reflects the relationship between Germany and Colombia, where history, diplomacy, and community converge.
The project’s main strategy is to reuse the existing residential space in order to create different spaces and environments that work together in the most effective way.
